The seaside town of Bude, with 2 large sandy beaches, patrolled by life
guards in the summer, and a sea filled swimming pool is a short
drive away . Summerleaze beach at Bude is dog friendly all year.
Bude has cycle hire, a surf school and a Tourist Information Office. A
short drive will take you to the shops and attractions of Launceston,
Camelford and the pretty coastal villages of Tintagel, Boscastle and Port
Isaac . The Eden Project is just over one hour's drive away. Horseriding
and many children's activities are available locally. Bodmin Moor
and Dartmoor are close by.
St Gennys is a picturesque little village set 400 feet up on the cliffside
just above Crackington Haven. It clings to the hillside & looks out
to the impressive headland which drops sheer to the sea. Visit the 15th
century Church in St Gennys & enjoy one of the finest views in North
Cornwall to Bude Bay & Bristol Channel to where Lundy Island can be
seen on a clear day.
